Kogi State Security Operatives Kill Two Suspected Kidnappers in Ankumi Forest Shootout

In Kogi State, security operatives killed two suspected kidnappers during an operation in the Ankumi forest. Following a tip-off, a police patrol team, in collaboration with Fulani Vigilantes, confronted the armed suspects, resulting in a gunfight. The superior firepower of the police led to the death of two suspects, while one escaped with injuries. Recovered items included an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and live ammunition. Efforts are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspect. The Kogi State Police Commissioner, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, praised the officers' efforts and assured the public of continued dedication to combating crime in the state.
