Activist Aisha Yesufu Criticizes President Tinubu, Sparks Online Debate

A tweet by activist Aisha Yesufu, criticizing President Bola Tinubu, has ignited a heated exchange with the presidency. On Wednesday, Yesufu claimed that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa snubbed and disgraced Tinubu at his inauguration. Sharing a video, she wrote, "My people say pikin wey no hear word for house, na for outside dem go disgrace am! Tinubu disgraced once again In South Africa.”

Tinubu's aides, including O’tega Ogra and Bayo Onanuga, quickly rebutted Yesufu’s claims. Ogra accused Yesufu of seeking attention with her "crass ignorance and shameful behavior" and explained that the first row at the event was reserved for South African royalty. He added that Ramaphosa greeted visiting presidents after the national anthem.

Onanuga also criticized Yesufu and her supporters, calling them "an uncouth horde of pessimists" still bitter about their candidate's third-place finish in the 2023 elections.
